American Guard Donte McGill (190-G-1995, agency: Green Sports Management) had a very impressive game in the last round for Al Wehda Mecca, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 28-year old player was the main contributor (41 points, eight rebounds and five assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Al Safa (#9, 3-7) 88-74. Al Wehda is placed at 4th position in Saudi Arabian SBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Al Wehda will need more victories to improve their 7-3 record. In the team's last game McGill had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He turned to be Al Wehda's top player in his first season with the team. Former Florida International University star has very solid stats this year. McGill is league's best scorer averaging so far 33.0ppg. McGill is in league's top in and averages impressive 59.5% FGP and 41.9% from behind 3-point line. Worth to mention McGill played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Anthony Fairley (203-F-1999) of Al Fateh Al Hasa. Fairley had a very good evening with a double-double of 32 points and 14 rebounds. Of course he led Al Fateh to another comfortable win outscoring Al Taawoun (#11, 0-10) 97-62. Al Fateh's 7th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 5-5 record is not bad and everything may still change. Fairley is a newcomer at Al Fateh, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Jonathon Simmons (198-G-1989) of Ohod Medina (#6). Simmons got into 30-points club by scoring 42 points in the last round. He went also for six rebounds and seven assists. He was a key player of Ohod, leading his team to a 108-90 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Al Khaleej (#8, 3-7). Ohod needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 6 victories and 4 lost games. Simmons has a great season in Saudi Arabia. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 26.1ppg (3rd best) and assists with 4.9apg (7th best). He also has a FGP of 56.8% and 3PT: 49.1%.
